My aunt has to use her POV for mail delivery, she has a 2007 toyota sienna she uses for that but it's Left hand drive so when she delivers she can't wear her seatbelt.

The gas and brake will be pretty easy to convert, I can take apart the dash and weld eyelets to the dash frame to run tube though (with bushings) and run a simple lever to the other side.

The issue I'm having is the steering, Most people use a pulley mounted behind the steering with a belt run to a second wheel to the passenger side, however this is somewhat dangerous as you have a belt exposed on the dash.

I'm thinking there has to be a way to run a steering extension through the dash on the pass. side with a steering wheel at one end and the other end connected to the OEM steering shaft in the engine compartment.

She wants to be able to use both right and left hand drive with little modification.

Probably cheaper to buy a RHD van from a Japanese JDM wholesale company. This might not be an option depending on where you live, so look for an actual old mail truck.

I would think a RHD conversion or an older RHD van would both be around $4,000

We can get a conversion kit, it'd be about $1500 though.

I think we have the basic design figured out, just gotta make sure we have the room in the engine bay to run the 2nd steering setup.
