The body shop replaced my bumper and some other things from a accident, and this just doesn't look right to me. On the paperwork it says it's the OEM bumper.

I replaced mine after smashing it and stared at it a while too. Thought something was not right til I looked at another one. Like others stated, normal.

Don't be. Toyota put my box on crooked. It's about 1/2" out at the front bottom from one side to the other. I checked other new trucks on the lot (2012 at the time) and they're all crooked. Go figure.

In case no one has mentioned it, the gap is normal.

That looks right. When I replaced mine there was no options for front/back adjustment. The only thing I had to watch was there was some play for the tilt of the bumper which you would only see from the side and how the plastic edge lineup up with the body lines of the truck.

I grew up old school. I call the bed a box, as in "toss it in the box".

When I first got my tow hitch and installed it, I thought I completely just FUBAR'd my bumper because of the gap. I uninstalled and reinstalled just to make sure and yep, that bumper has quite a bit of clearance around it. Only thing one can do is keep that gap consistent and that takes a bit of time and some OCD. My hitch install took about 4 hours because I wanted to make sure the gap was perfect...

But yes, that gap is normal.
