Im currently running Toyo Open Country AT2's on my Tacoma in 265/70/17. I opted for the 10 ply because I was getting too many flats with the 4 ply tires. I like the puncture resistance of the 10 ply but the ride is pretty harsh. Thinking about switching to a 6 ply for a better ride. I noticed that the Cooper ST Maxx comes in a 6 ply, but the closest size is 255/75/17. Will that tire look like a pizza cutter on my truck?

They don't look bad. I'm running 255's right now. Only about a half inch narrower than the 265's.

I wheel with in the Colorado mountains. Very sharp rocks. Tires are proving very tough.

When did cooper start making maxx in 6 ply? They came out advertised as like heavy duty only available in e rated tires all sizes.

I've been trying to find answers on this tire as well. Cooper's specs are off and this C rated is supposedly heavier than the next size E rated. Even the guy from DTD has 50.6 for the 10-ply 255/80 and 52.86 for the 6-ply 255/75 :notsure:
