hi everyone, I have a 2011 rc 4x4. I just got everything together to lift the front of my truck. I'm going with 5100s set at zero with ome 883x Spring. I bought new top hats and bushings/hardware so I could take the items to a shop and have them assemble the springs and struts. I'm just wondering how the top hat needs to be aligned? I tried researching but could find what I was looking for. Thanks for the help.

All you have to do is twist the upper part of the coil assembly (once assembled) by hand to get them aligned into the mounting holes. Super easy. Good luck and post pics when you' re all set up.

Thanks for the info. Just to clarify you're saying once the strut and spring are assembled I can move the top hat by just twisting it? I don't have to worry about the top hat alignment when I get the strut and spring assembled?

That is correct. If you mount the upper 3 bolts first, you can then turn the lower "eye" that mounts to the lower control arm. If it's a bit tight, just use a large screwdriver to help out.
