Years ago, I had a '99 Ranger that was lifted and I had used Camburg at that time.

As it turns out, Camburg makes an 05-15 Tacoma kit. It is priced at $1099 and comes with Bilstein 5100's. Does anyone have any experience with the Camburg Tacoma setup? Are there better lifts out there for the same money? My goal is to run 33x12.50 probably BFG A/T KO's as they are a long time favorite of mine.

Truck is stock right now but I want it to be mildly modded. Yes, I plan on wheeling a bit once the spring season comes back around (when we get lots of rain/mud). Definitely don't want a mall crawler.

    Here's the kit:

    http://camburg.com/all-products/05-12-taco/toyota-tacoma-pre4wd-05-15-entry-level-kit/

I want something mild, otherwise I'd probably drop $8k on their long travel kit.

Also, I would like to avoid regearing right now as that is more labor/money than I want to spend right now. That's why I don't want to go with something more extreme, like BDS or something.

You can get it cheaper elsewhere.

How much are you planning on lifting with those? Just remember higher=stiffer with that setup.

No more than 4". Like I said, I dont want anything too crazy. If I did, I'd do the BDS 6" for like $3500.

2wd or 4wd? You're not getting 4" out of what you posted. Even 3" is going to suck.

My truck is 4WD. And what I am trying to say is that no matter what lift I go with, whether it be Camburg or some cheap Chinese eBay crap, I want no more than 4" of lift. I am almost 40 and plan on keeping my Tacoma forever. Also read: I'm old. Things hurt. I don't want a monster truck.

4" on these trucks is a lot and on a 4wd you're only reasonable option is a drop bracket lift.

You keep saying no more than 4", but I think you'd be happy around the "no more than 2.5" area.

Keeping it at 2.5" or less is good advice if you are looking to keep complications (and price) to a minimum. It can still make a big impact with these trucks though.

Thank you. This is the information I was after. My only other experience with a lift was on my Titan about 10 years ago. That was a spindle type lift, with blocks out back. This is my first Tacoma, and I want it to look good, handle good, and not have reduced capability. Maybe I oughtta just do a solid axle swap haha
