Hello, Long time lurker first time poster. Made an account just to accomplish this mod.

I am preparing to wire LED lights into my 2015 Double Cab truck bed. My electrical skills are very basic. I think I could make this work, but I want to get it right and work correctly with the parts I have. I have seen other posts on the subject but they mostly show the finished project and not actually how to do it. The main part I'm getting hung up on is the switch & relay and how make the switch illuminate only with the ignition on (but still have the lights work when ignition is off, if this is possible).

Here are some pics of what I am working with.

I'd like to find a fuse to tap into that is always on, so the lights will turn on in the truck bed whenvever I open the tailgate.

Secondly, I'd like to be able to turn the lights off from the cab, in case I decide to leave the tailgate down while hauling something.

Finally I want the lights on the cab switch to illuminate only when the ignition is turned on.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the rambling post.

I see you have your add a fuse. I tapped into the brake light fuse.
