I found this random two prong plug behind a small black panel under the front right air vent beside the stereo unit. Any idea what it is?

The wires are green and blue if that helps.

Ah! Would there normally be an air bag switch there? The panel covering it is solid.

Didn't the older trucks have a selector there to turn the passenger airbag on or off before it went to the seat weight sensor arrangement ?

The older trucks do have a seat sensor. The airbag stays off until the seat registers the threshold weight, in which case it turns on. This switch is to turn it off manually in case you have a rear mounted baby seat up front.

    EDIT: **Rear Facing**

Yeah I was thinking you had to put your key in there to turn it off.
