like the title said i am a bmw guy threw and threw. I have been wrenching on them for about 11 years total now. due to that we have been a mostly bmw house. i had a ford ranger for a while and recently a 04 jeep wrangler and a whole slew of bmws.

currently i have a 95 318ti with 500whp (m3 motor and turbo), i daily a 15 bmw x1_35i, and the wife is driving a 13 x5d. the lease is up on the x5 so i am getting the truck and the wife unwillingly is taking the x1.

I was thinking about getting the colorado z71 with the diesel but fell in love with the quicksand and the idea of having a manual. after test driving a auto 3rd gen tacoma i was not really liking the way it shifted. I know i am a little spoiled with bmws quick shifting transmissions but that thing was all over the place and I just know i would end up not happy with the truck in the long run.

yesterday i put a deposit down on a double cab trd off-road in quicksand with a manual transmission

    Congrats!

Looks like you like to wrench judging by the 500 whp 318. The great news on the yote you shouldn't have to unless you want to.

I recently eliminated a 328xi. Great car when everything was perfect. Otherwise, get your checkbook out. I found parts expensive & reliability poor. And having owned a few German cars have sworn them off regardless of how cool they are...

My wife and I had a 323 convertible and an X5 for years. They give an incredible ride, but when it comes time for repairs, you better bring a Brinks truck to the shop with you.

... Now we're all about our Highlander and Tacoma :D. They're nice, but not like the Bimmers.

    Welcome to TW

Im a bimmer guy also... Wife has a 2012 diesel X5 and I drive a 2015 M5 (street legal race car)! Just picked up a 2016 Tacoma and love the ease of upgrading mods.

    Congrats!

the m5 is great. i love all of the generations of the m5. but the new ones are in a league of there own. my wife loves her diesel x5 with sport package and is super sad that we are letting it go. but its my turn lol. we will probley get a new one once the x1 lease is up.
