I have a small collection of WWI and WWII vintage MILSURPLUS weapons - mostly WWII. My son and I go to a large gun show in our area several times a year and one dealer has a table of rifles that have little value as they are. On one trip, we found this: a 1917 BSA No. 1 Mk III* Enfield. As you can see, it had red paint all over it, the fore stock was chopped and butchered. I bought it for $30.

Over time, I found the parts I needed to restore it, cleaned up the metal and then put it back together. It's not perfect, but it looks pretty good and still shoots well.

Niice. I do love the look of enfields. Just looked at samco global's website.... They have Swedish m41b for 595-695. Dam. One day I wil actually use my c&r license. They also have enfields no2 mk iv. Hmmmm so I think tomorrow I'm gonna pull my three old rifles and start at c&r pic thread.
