Who else has old military firearms? Here's my three.
My .303 British it's my deer rifle. Bought it at an auction for $100. It was semi sportered so I took it all the way.
    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
My mosin nagant 91/30 7.62x54r. I had the stock refinished because I spilt bore sole vent all over the stock.
    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Lastly my m96 Swedish Mauser 6.5x55 by far my favorite.

I could spend all day posting pictures on this one. I have a collection of MILSURPS, mostly from the WWI and WWII era. Here are a few pics of representative ones.

    Rack 2.jpg

    And just the Mosins.

    Mosins.jpg

These are my carbines, with the exception of my Type 53 Chinese carbine - which is just a clone of the Soviet M44.

    Carbines.jpg

My two M1 Garands - both WWII Springfields.

    Garands 1.jpg

I love this picture of me firing one of the Garands - you can see the last shell casing ejecting to the front and the en bloc ejecting to the rear.

    Ping.jpg

I have a few pistols, too. I've focused mainly on rifles to this point and don't have any German WWII ear pistols, yet. My two favorite that I I do have are this Lend-Lease Smith&Wesson Pre-Victory M&P that went to the British Army - all matching.

    S&W1.jpg

And my 1911A1 - a Remington Rand manufactured in 1944. Shown here with a matching unopened can of .45 cal ball ammo repacked in 1944.

Here's a n interesting one. This is an 1876 British Enfield Martini Henry Mk II. These saw service during the Zulu Wars (watch the movie Zulu Dawn) and then ended up in Nepal. Once replaced, they were stacked on pallets and stored away in arsenals for about 100 years before being sold off to a dealer here in the US. My son and I both bought one several years ago as a project rifle. Lots of crud, some rust and corrosion and some wood rot, but all in all not too bad. I spent the better part of a week cleaning and re-working it. I have not yet fired it - have the ammo - and it looks to be fine. I'll probably bench it this summer with a trigger string to try it for a few rounds. If you look up "shoulder buster" in the dictionary...a picture of this rifle would be there - .455/570 cal.

My latest, 1938 Izzy. She's former Finn with the SA and 41 stamp on the barrel. Whoever owned her shot with her for sure. I'll clean it up tonight, she's dirty

Cool thread. I have a Mauser K98 and Beretta M1935 lurking in a cabinet 'round here somewhere...

Love the Garands, can't see one without thinking of how badass the men who carried them were and how much we owe them. The Greatest Generation for sure.

Just picked this up today!! So excited!! It's been on my hit list for a while now. Springfield Armory receiver dates to around April 1944 barrel is stamped Springfield armory 1943 every thing else is springfield except Op rod is International Harvester. Stock is stamped RIA. Haven't shot it yet. Can't wait to get some ammo and let it fly. IMG_4959.jpgIMG_4960.jpg IMG_4962.jpgIMG_4961.jpg

I'm going to cull the herd a bit and sell off a few - probably let my Finn M39 and several of the Mosin Nagants go. I am going to pick up an Auto Ordnance Thompson SBR - never will be able to afford a new one so I'll just be content with one of the replicas.

My Swiss collection. Top rifle (K31) has been replaced by an older K31 with a walnut stock (the one in the photo was a beech stock). Guns are newest to oldest (top to bottom).Swiss Firearms.jpg
