    SO how did you end up mounting the center console because I tried today and realized the mounting was different bu I have parts from my totaled 04 that I could use! Just wondering how you did it! Also do you have any pics of the frame caps welded on? Did you buy the frame caps or make some? And last, how much did you cut off the frame horns? Thanks a lot!

    Had to use the bracket that came from the truck that the console came from. Below is a picture of the bracket that was in my truck. Just use the bracket from your donor truck.

    In the picture below you can see where the bolts go on the bottom of the frame and the end cap. Measure from the center of the hole to the end cap on your bumper (between the red lines in the picture), then measure from the center of the bolt hole on the truck frame and mark the same distance on your frame. That will be where you need to cut it. Bought a piece of 1/4 flat bar and made some plates. Make sure you weld the plates inside the frame and not on the end. If you add them to the end it will add a 1/4 inch in length and they will be too long or cut an extra 1/4 off the frame and then weld them to the ends.
    Also the hole in the center of the end cap is off center left to right. The hole is centered from top to bottom. Make sure you measure your end caps and get the hole where it needs to be. There is a picture showing the end cap below. The holes are off center to the inside if you look at them from the front of your truck. I also welded the bolts onto the plates before welding them to the frame. Some people weld nuts on the end caps but I used bolts, that way you can set the bumper on the bolts sticking out when you are installing the bumper, just makes the install easier.

    For 98-00s you were supposed to cut 3 inches off the frame horns, which includes the stock skid plate location. Just an FYI for the future for anyone looking at this. But if yours works I'd leave it

    3 inches was not enough for me and it depends on where you weld the end plate. If you slide the plate inside the frame to weld it or weld it to the end of the frame? If you weld it to the end of the frame it also depends on the thickness of the metal you use.
    I think it is best to measure your bumper and frame and not just assume it is 3 inches. If you weld the plate on and it is too long, the holes on your bumper will not line up and you will have to redo the end caps.

    Yea true, I did about 3 inches plus the thickness of my plate I was provided and it lined up pretty good. But it's best to take everything off and measure where you need to cut

    Bought a piece of 1/4 flat bar and made the plates. Got a piece of 3 inch X 1/4 and cut off a piece big enough to cover the end of the frame.
    You can get a piece at your local machine shop, Tractor Supply, Lowe's...

    You can weld nuts or bolts, as posted earlier it makes it a little easier if you weld bolts it gives you something to hang the bumper on while you put all the other bolts in. The links posted earlier shows you how to do everything.
