    2013 AC 4x4 Auto SR5 Tacoma RED
Hello, Introducing myself to the Tacoma World community. I usually dont do threads but I've always felt comfortable with Toyota Truck fans of New England. Figure Id try this out. Ive owned a Red 1987 4cyl Toyota 4x4 Manual "Truck Pickup" when I first owned a CT license (Sold for $1500 with 198,000 miles). Ive owned a 2000 Toyota 4x4 SR5 6cyl Silver Tundra Manual when my son was born (Sold with 239,000 Miles for $2500), and now I own my first Auto 2013 AC 4x4 SR5 Red Tacoma and Im loving every second of it. I love the fact that I have a rear view camera. I love that I have an (after market) tow package now. I love that I can turn off all the nannies (LSD, Etc) when I am in 4x4 for the snow so I can feel like Im in my older trucks, and I love that I saved about 13 grand when I waited for the 2016 to come out for great gas milage. Instead I chose a perfect 2013 4cyl (Rare for Aroostook Maine) with under 19,500 miles. I went with the 4cyl hoping to get close to 21 MPG (Looks like I have to drive like my mother to get this number). Towing and power was not a factor for me. Reliability, 4x4 for the snow, and MPG were a priority. The MPG for the new 16 Tacoma 4x4 V6 just didnt cut it for me. The fact that they kept the same 4cyl 2.7 engine helped me with my decision. Saving 12 grand was a no brainer. $23,000 for a mint 4cyl 4x4 SR5 Auto was the perfect choice!!! Toyota Trucks for life...

    Welcome!
I looked around for a while for my 2010 AC V6 TRD OR. Got it for $22,800 with 35k miles. Original owner, dealer maintained. Im already impressed with this truck, and I will be keeping mine forever too! I got mine for light off road and hauling my motorcycle around.

    1) Ooops!

    2) Thank god. Your new truck is heavier than the 2nd gen.

    3) 4x4 on a 4cyl in the snow. Not real snow.

    4) Oops again. You didn't read the comparisons.

    5) I guess you weren't paying attention to the growth in size of the truck chassis.

6? And a major hit in resale.

Not shitin' ya ... it's all good!

taczilla if you read carefully I went with a 2013 USED MINT from ONE owner lease 2013 2nd Gen with under 19,500 miles. New 2016's 4x4 4cyls go for about $27,000 in SR5 package. My 2013 SR5 Auto AC 4x4 also came with "Life Pledge" what ever that means...
