has the fancy Pioneer stereo - video thingy that I can't figure out
Hello. Name's Robert. I've been on numerous automotive boards but I have never "introduced myself". Let's face it, that kinda feels funny doing it by text vs in -person.

I owned (presently selling) a 1987 Toyota 4Runner. I LOVE that truck. Nothing quite like it. Unfortunately, It has rusted a bit, here and there, and has become more of a hobby than a daily driver. It still runs great and off-roads like it's new with 330,000 miles on it. But, with the leaking windshield and doors, I was getting tired of having wet pant legs when I got to work each day in the rainy season. So........ the wife talked me into "just going to look" and I drove off the lot with a new-to-me 2007 Tacoma Sport access cab. I LOVE IT! What an awesome truck. This thing has so many bells and whistles I can't even begin to tire of! I am so impressed.

I live on the central Oregon coast in a small town named Depoe Bay. It's between two larger towns, Lincoln City and Newport. It is quite possibly the most beautiful place on the entire west coast! My house is less than a 1/10 of a mile from the water. I can't see it from here but I can hear it and smell it. The freshest air you could possibly get! In the mornings, I can hear sea lions barking from their perch on the bell buoy in the bay. The waves pounding the rocks have a different sound each day depending on the weather conditions. The little nuances of the coast can only be realized by experiencing them day in and day out. Even the color of the water looks different every day.

I retired from a career in the big city (Portland) and moved here with my current wife in 2010. I work part time to supplement my meager pension and am able to enjoy four days off per week. We're not well off, but we are extremely happy.

I have a wonderful ex-wife that gave me three wonderful, successful children, one of which has now given me two grandchildren. What more could one ask for?

That's about it for the intro. Other than too many hobbies and too large of a bucket list!

I hope to garner as much information from this board as I did from all of the boards dedicated to the 4Runner. They have helped me immeasurably.
