    NOT A SALE THREAD.
Gonna sell my California bought/owned 1999 Tacoma Prerunner SR5 package. Its a V6 3.4 6 lug with 287k and mechanically runs/drives perfectly tow package added. Frame has ZERO rust, clear coat on roof and hood is pitted/peeling. Interior is in decent condition but hey its a 16 year old truck that took me anywhere I wanted to fish. Its sitting on Hankook MT 31" and was mostly driven highway up to the Sierras to go trout fishing and down to the gulf of Mexico to go Kayak fishing. This truck has been in my family since new so theres no hidden issues. This isn't a for sale thread just looking for a ballpark starting figure.

    Photo shows pre Hankook tires.

high miles and bad paint are really gonna hurt you a lot

traded my 2wd 5 lug 99 ext cab with 2.4 engine and 120k miles with the same paint issues as yours and I only got $3,200 for it and if I sold it myself, I think anything near $4k-$4.5k would be the best I could get. the dealer I traded it to repainted it and sold it for $5,700

just check the online and local dealers and craigs list to see what trucks with those miles sell for in your area then if you are comparing clean good condition truck prices, subtract $1k for the bad paint on yours, do that and you will have a rough fair market value number

KBB lists it at $4200-$4400 in its current condition.

well there you go, subtract $1k for the price of a new paint job and its worth $3300

so ask $4000 for it and take any offer over $3000

However, depending on your location, you could actually mark up on the price. Just ask for $4500 and let people try to talk you down from there.

That price from KBB is with the paint in current condition. I check in other parts of the country and your pricing is right on point but here in SoCal they seem to command a premium.
