What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

As i was looking at TW earlier i felt like something was staring at me....

..he was a bit jelly that i was on my phone and not rough housing

 

Finished my Hybrid Audio speaker install with sound deadening. Now, I just really need an amp and sub for bass.

 

Well I brought my truck into the shop last night. Greased the driveline, oil change, replaced the spark plugs, replaced the cabin & engine air filter, fixed the a/c blower motor squeak, and cleaned & adjusted the rear brakes.

The spark plugs had never been changed. 95,000 miles on them.

 

Any write up? Source and cost for parts? I am very interested in this mod.

 

Reinstalled my rtt with my newish bed bars 4 hrs of work tmrw and then I'm gone

I used a piece of angled stainless from Home Depot.

 

I ordered the NSA from Trail Toys. Can't wait to put it under the hood, and finish the other lighting projects I've got going.

 

Cool. Been thinking about buying both things, the cap and the plate, but haven't seen too many comments or posts about them so was a little unsure. I think that's next on my list of things to buy then.

Ordered a skid plate that just got shipped to me, so once that's here, these are next.

 

I've got Infinity Reference 3-ways in all four doors (6x9 in front and 6.5 round in back) (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002CMUL30?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage) with a 4-channel Alpine brick (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00866IQ2Y?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage) installed behind the head unit, out of sight. Works great and was inexpensive. The interior of these trucks are small so a little goes a long way. Just an FYI.

 

No write up yet. Kind of forgot to take pics on some part of the install, but anyone can do the mod. Cost depends on where you get the parts from. Got all the parts from eBay, besides the wires I used. I'll let you know ones I'm done with the write up.

Definitely. Especially if you're opening the doors to share the music/audio.

I think I found my next mod for my wife's car..

 

Were these original plugs? In my 08 FJ they recommended changing out I believe @ 35k mi. I did @ 50k. 1 side was Denso the other was NGK. They claimed down one side of the line one plug MFG had a contract & the one had the other side!! Guess that keeps the mfg competitive?!?!!?

 

Happen to know the recommendation for changing the 2nd gen Taco plugs?

 

I actually got to DRIVE mine yesterday! While that may not sound like a major accomplishment, it truely was considering the circumstances. (Had surgery 2 weeks ago for prostate cancer) Last night got to sleep in bed (and not in a chair) for the first time in 10 days. Not out of the woods just yet, but the trail is getting wider and flatter! Take time to appreciate the little things in life. Those are the things you really value when you think they may not happen again.

Gonna go for another drive in a few!
