Clearwater Bill good answer, did that and found out there is no juice coming from the battery to the positive post of the starter so there must be somewhere from battery to starter but where?? Anybody has similar problems to share?

Three possibilities come to mind. First is the positive battery cable. Test it for continuity, but even if that's OK it may not be able to carry sufficient current.

Second is negative battery cable. Inspect connections at both ends and clean if there's a hint of corrosion.

Third is the ignition switch. I may be failing to complete the starting connection.

I was just coming to mention the ignition switch.

Is there anything else electrical that does/doesn't work, other than not engaging the starter?

I don't know anything about these particular starters. Is the solenoid on the starter, or remote mounted?

If on the starter, did the new one come complete with that, or did you transfer your old one?

Did you have your old starter bench tested? (it may actually be fine)

If the solenoid is remote, you need to be checking up on it as well. If it's receiving proper voltage, it may not be putting that out.

If it was the ignition switch i wouldnt be able to hear the click right?
I just install electric brake for my new trailer but so far is not connected to anything beside ground (12v, cold brake wire and electric brake wire arent connected)
The starter i bought came with solenoid remotely mounted
Tried to test bench the starter and my old one was fine but when i took it off i broke the solenoid pigtail so i need to get new one anyways

I guess i was wrong about starter with remote solenoid, mine is the one from autozone for 96 3.4 4x4
What i meant with pigtail was that little black plastic connector attached to solenoid body..i broke mine
