I'm reading through it right now, I love the guys on GarageJournal. Kind like TW, it has lots of great knowledge that's super in depth.

    Nice link.

The poster essentially puts the Harbor Freight 44" chest atop the list. And considers the Sears boxes to have the least value.

That's what I'm seeing too, but I'd wager that the Husky product is actually the crappiest (having sold them, there are only tow out of all of them I would consider buying)

I've been on a tool organizer search for the last hour. I really need to reorganize my box.

I'm going to take pictures tomorrow of my wrench, socket, etc organization and request feedback.

We used 1/2", 3/4" and 1" foam. It's basically shipping foam. Grumman supplied some but the really nice pieces were from crates that aircraft parts came in. You can order the foam but usually it has a minimum order and is expensive. A few of us pitched in and bought a box.

The socket tray is really nice and after I built mine everyone started building theirs, the rails and clips are Craftsman, for once they beat Snap-On with design. I just used #6 screws and nuts to fasten the rails to a piece of aluminum and installed the clips for each row of sockets. It's held up for 12 years now.

since i got a job on the railroad, and dont plan on going anywhere any time soon, my new toolbox is an all white 2015 ford f250 4wd with work boxes. however, this is what i had and the dude still owes me 1 more damn payment so i can get my surf rack:

paid way too much for it, traded too much for it, didnt get crap for it, toolboxes are a racket. stinks they are such a necessity.

Wen (previously Kodiak) 41" with shockingly good construction for what it cost. Then throw in the discount I got for "scratch n dent" sale at the local warehouse (although I've yet to find a scratch or a dent) and another discount for cash only. Very happy.
