4Runner wheels will fit, but they typically have an offset of 15mm compared to 30mm for the Tacoma, so they will move the tire/wheel further out to the side and that will vary depending on the width of the rims in question.

I'm running Bridgestone Dueler HT P265/70/17. It is about an inch taller, but i went with a highway tire. (since my tacoma has over 9,000 miles. I do 90% highway.)

Jamison, I switched from the SR5 "Styled Steel" wheels so needed new lug nuts. Discount Tire had them, and they were Toyota nuts with the washer attached.

If your truck came with alloy wheels, yes.

Do you think they would rub with mud flaps?

I'm still waiting for the WeatherTech mud flaps for the "no flare" SR5. However, I ran 265/75/16's on my 2006 SR5 with no problems. That truck had the factory flaps on it.

We'll see, but I'm betting they will be OK.

Guess I didn't answer the question, huh?

I'm curious, will these new TRD wheels bolt on to 3rd Gen 4runners as well without having to do anything?

Which "new TRD wheels"? If they have the 6 bolt pattern, they should fit. I have the TRD Pro wheels on mine and they are perfect.

I have read this thread and really appreciate the input everyone has included. However, I am curios if anyone knows if these wheel will bolt onto a 2017 Sport with stock tires, 265/65/r17 without any trimming of wheel liner. I absolutely will not do any cutting of my new truck but really want to change out the wheels for something else. These wheels are awesome and as they are genuine Toyota I am hoping they will work.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
