Sorry to read about this. After a friend recently lost his dog, the wife and I were talking about why people get dogs. How a dog is usually good for about 10 years give or take a few. People know this going in to get a dog, but they get dogs anyway knowing it will end in heartbreak. Why do people do this? Because, the enjoyment you get from the dog is worth the heartbreak in the end. Keep your chin up. There's another pup out there that needs you too.

Sorry to hear about your lab. I lost a black lab a little over a year ago. She was the best dog ever. I have a new dog now but he could never top my old dog. Stick in there
