Hi all I have a 2015 Tacoma went up to the local ski hill put the truck in 4WD then back in 2WD and even with the switch back in 2WD the t-case is still engaged, please note I have tried to switch it in and out of 2 and 4WD while in neutral, and driven forward and reverse but with no luck.
    Thanks in advance.

Were you rolling when you engaged it? Is this the first time you've tried it?

I'm thinking I put in 4L when I was in park and not neutral but not 100%, I have only wheeled this rig half dozen times as the truck and this type of t-case is new to me.

Maybe. Just try 4hi first to make sure that works.

4H seems fine lights come on same with 4L once back in 2WD the 4WD light goes out but still feels like it's engaged.

Feels like? If you turn the wheel the front tires should be chirping. Eliminates all "feels like.."

I would assume Ryan is correct, anyway. That's what I'd suggest doing.

As long as nothing is beeping (4 low), I'd put it in 2 hi and go for a drive. The "problem" will solve itself. If it actually stays in 4wd, take it to the dealer. As mentioned above, you'll know without a doubt if it's in 4wd when you take a turn on pavement.
