Hey guys new member, I was reading online that straight axle swaps aren't for everyone, I was looking into doing it but as I read I started to realize it wasn't for me. So what I'm asking is what parts should I get to replace the sas, my truck isn't a"driveway queen" but it also doesn't spend all its time in the mountains. I just wanted it to do what it should be able to do with ease. Thanks

If you mean you just want to do some moderate off roading without dumping a ton of money into SAS, you could get a 2-3 inch suspension lift and some nice tires and be pretty much set for anything mild. All my truck has is Bilstein 5100s and Eibach coils in the front, and an add a leaf and Bilstein shocks in the rear. Along with some used 32 inch mud tires I picked up on craigslist. I've been able to hang with everyone I off road with pretty much no problem. But then again I'm not exactly rock crawling on 35s either. It all depends on what you really want to do.

Thanks,I bought the truck with aftermarket shocks on it (I don't know what kind) and I'm sure it has a lift kit(don't know how much either) and its on 35 so I just want to be safe and kind of replace everything from the ground up

If you have 35s you have at the very least a 3 inch lift already. And honestly unless your current parts are completely shot and worn out I'd just leave them. Got any pictures of it?

The way I've always uploaded pictures is by first putting them on a website like Imgur, because the site asks for a link rather than just uploading straight from the pc. Then once it's uploaded to Imgur you can copy the URL, click the little picture icon here on the forum and then paste it in there. Kind of a pain but you'll get used to it pretty quick I'm sure. You can also use facebook pictures by opening them in a new tab, does the same thing but it's way easier if you already have a facebook

Close enough haha. Yeah you've got a pretty good lift going on. I see the previous owner already trimmed the fenders to fit. I don't think you'll have any trouble with mild off roading.

Haha yeah sorry about that, the only problem I had was a leaking cv axle, I'm sure it happened while I was in the mountains, rolled it for a couple of days then it completely broke while in town, it's all fixed now, just wanted to avoid any other serious issues

One of my CVs is split too. Well, the boot at least. To be safe check your lower ball joints. You really don't want those failing on you.
