I want to connect my winch plug for my boat to the battery and run the wire under the truck and into the bed. Can anyone confirm if the small compartment that is used to hold the tie downs is molded into the bed? My plan is to drill a hole on the inside of the compartment so I can keep everything stored inside. Thanks

Yes, it is molded and has a cover, but not lockable.
