    Nicely done

We have a guy who's a great welder at work. he's going to weld my sliders on for me when they arrive as a matter of fact.

We also have access to a BIG shearing machine and whole puncher there. I think I'll see if he wants to help me with this at the same time...

I just looked. As you can see, I have the same problem.
    9FD2AB21-87D4-4821-B0C2-9E9E56B0E18A_zps_524a784a486c4bbe96d1f59b7b5e2faf5c915fd6.jpg

Yours came out great, but, I'm thinking the corresponding curve isn't necessary. I might just notch it so it hits like the original bracket? Save a lot of work.

Actually, I'd probably just shorten the bracket at the flat end, and just use the curve that it comes with. Even if it's not a perfect match, it'd still be better than the original. Just cut the upper bolt holes off and drill new ones. Either that, or just weld them on like you mentioned above.

New holes is a good idea instead of messing with a new radius. I got the 2" extensions, so new holes would have been weird. Get the 6" extensions so you'll have plenty of meat to locate the new holes. And remember, if you weld instead of bolting them, you'll surely want a different spring pac next year.... so?

EDI*T: And yes, a notch would be just as good. I just got anal with mine. The radius is the same as comes on the extension, I just transferred the radius.

No, yours looks great for sure.

The more I look at it, I don't think I'll have to cut at all. Since I'm actually lifted, I can probably just use the 2" as its meant to be used. I just didn't know they existed until I saw your post.

Just another project for the list...

Right now, I have a pair of 4.56 Diffs with ARB lockers on the way. I also have full skids and sliders to POR-15, paint, and install. AND, all of the pieces to do the "behind the tail light diff breather mod" on my work bench.

I'm going to busy for the next couple of weekends...

Yeah, that's the one at E Trailer, and cheaper than Amazon. Shipping brought mine to $40 from E Trailer.

Not sure why a behind the tail lite would be better than inside a cubbyhole? In the cubby you could also use it to fill with. ...Dumb, I know.

@HolyHandGrenade Hey, just one more thing: The holes in the extensions are hella big. Didn't measure them, but the bolts are only 3/8" so that's what I drilled.

You know? I don't remember exactly. It was almost three years ago now. I know it was pricey though. I bought it as a kit when I bought the bags. Now, I'd piece it together and save a little money...

I never would've thought it'd all fit in there, but I saw another guy did it. I stole the idea from him.

I don't do off road, so I wouldn't need to air down for the rocks. My only need for air is the bags, and plan to get a small manual pump. I hear there is a foot pump that is good.

About the manual pump, I wanna see about putting a T at the pump with a line to each bag. That way, both would get pumped up equally, and would be separated when the pump lines are disconnected. Less fooling around with the hookups and winds up both the same.

That compressor is tiny. It's only for the bags as well.

I tow often. The compressor, and gauge, make it so quick and easy to make changes.

I have the small ARB compressor coming to run the lockers. I'm not going to do OBA either. I have a portable 12 v compressor that attaches to the battery with alligator clips for airing up.

Got my firestone bags 2 weeks ago. Took Amazon awhile to get the daystar cradles in stock. Going to do the install Sunday, run the bags independently of each other, i.e., not have a T filling both bags.

Where do you all recommend mounting the inflation port ?

I put mine in the bed in between the large cubby and the wall for the tail gate. Gives it just enough protection IMO and is easily accessible. Pic is above

I think you may be counting the overload leaf? 3 leaves plus the overload? That's what I have (see my post above) and it needs the extension.
I mounted my two Schraeder valves on the 9 pin bracket below the bumper. It works for me, but I don't go offroad, and my bumper is stock.

OK, I have a question on a product. Anyone have any info pro or con?
I have my ride Rite airbags installed, and will be airing up or down depending on the load. I have a good compressor in the garage, but want a small portable for the truck. I expect ai'll also `air up a tire on occasion. The unit below has a duty cycle of 10 minutes, so a tire would likely require a cool off period or it would freeze up the compressor.

Can you share some details about this set-up? What brand/part number compressor do you have in there. Was this a kit or did you have to purchase all the parts separately? Looks really clean.

I bought it as a kit when I got the bags. Here's the link:
    http://www.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/74A5181A0A0.aspx

BUT, the compressor looks different now. I did this almost three years ago. The filter looks bigger.
