What to grease and change 100k

2009 TRD OR dbcab prerunner. My baby just hit 100k on the trip back from arkansas to Missouri and I'm new with trucks. I've learned a bunch over the last year but let's face it: I'm no mechanic.
So here it is:

Automatic transmission, do I change the Trans fluid?
I'll do a radiator flush
Inspect the belt and decide if I need to replace it now or later
Change the diff fluid
Grease all the parts that need it

So I have no clue where or what to use in terms of grease. What needs greased and what do I grease? I have greased excavation equipment and farm stuff but not a truck ever.
Change the diff fluid, please enlighten me on what to buy for fluid and how to do it.
Radiator fluid, I'll use the Toyota stuff.

Yea I looked and didn't see any but I didn't spend much time looking. I have a bad disc in my back from an accident in October and working on the truck doesn't feel very good now.

 

The drive shafts is the only thing that has grease fittings on my 2013 trd sport. And my diff I just replaced called for about 3 qts of 85w-140 non synthetic gear oil. 24mm bolt on bottom of diff housing and fill to the bottom of the fill plug (in the middle on the back)of housing. If it's the same rear end as my 2013. Is yours the trd sport?

09+ prerunners SHOULD have zerk fittings on the rear driveshaft U joint bearing caps. Grease those fuckers good, and then continue to grease em every 5k miles when you are under there doing your oil change.

For all 09+ trucks you do not need any special diff fluid as they have gone away with the mechanical LSD founds in the trd sports and some sr5 rigs. any 75/80w-90 gear oil will work... i run mobile 1 full synthetic and it just so happens to have the LSD additive already in it (which wont hurt anything).... if you have not changed your diff oil... DO IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN.... at 100k on stock oil you are probably already wearing pinion bearings... when that happens you may as well replace ring and pinion gears along with all the bearings in the axle (moms 07 4 runner had to have this done at 110k), i changed my rear diff oil in my 2013 at 6k miles, it was NASTY.

Replace that serpentine belt regardless of what it looks like... keep the old one behind the seats just in case.

For the transmission there is a good writeup on how to go about changing out all 11 or 13 quarts of fluid properly, do it and your auto trans will last for ever.

Flush brake fluid with new clean stuff, this will keep things proper.

And lastly yup, change out that coolant, flush with distilled water and refill with proper coolant.

 

What brake pads do you recommend I just left the dealership and I'm close to needing new pads. I do light trails a bunch for camping and hiking trips. Are new rotors worth it?

I normally just use NAPA pads, and they have been great for me. Also, any NAPA should be able to turn your rotors. Unless they're warped or worn down THAT low, you should just be able to turn them and call them good.

There are some guys on here who have upgraded to 'performance brakes' - i.e. slotted rotors and such. I don't really think it's necessary, but I don't do heavy towing or any racing or anything that would require something like that. What you get is up to you!

My '13 dcsb 2wd PreRunner has 3 zerks, all on the propeller shaft. I am planning a diff drain and fill with Valvoline

$29 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)

75W-90 synthetic in the spring at 50k. many TW members swear by Amsoil and Redline. You will have a hard time finding the 75W-85 Toyota wants. The other is fine. Good luck.

 

BTW if your LSD is "automatic", you don't need the friction additive. There is a thread here that tells you how to determine if yours needs it. Try searching for differential drain and fill in the title on the 2nd generation forum.

Yea I've made a check list of everything I'm doing and what to buy. The mobile 1 stuff is what I'll use.

 

Also I've seen on here that I'll need 3 gallons of the pink stuff from the dealership to do a full fluid flush on my radiator, is that true? The guy at the dealership told me I didn't need to do a full flush and just ONE gallon should do it. He confused me.
Plus I didn't have the cash on me to spend 66 buck on fluid yesterday so I just waited on that since I had to get my Safety and Emissions done on the truck and re license it.

 

Did the tire rotation and changed the diff fluid out today. Doing the oil change later this week and then hopefully the radiator flush too.

 

Diff fluid came out looking brand friggin new today. The heads of the bolts had a bit of wear on them so I suspect the previous owner serviced it or the dealership did. But yea it had a decent amount of goop on the magnet but the fluid looked beautiful.
