FactoryTRD Offroad Rims -All black--anyone done it ?

I got to thinking that the stock TRD-Offroad rims might look real nice, if all black. Anyone done it.?

 

I haven't seen it yet posted here. I personally won't do it because these factory rims don't look half bad.

Thanks. That is what is likely do if I buy an OR. I like the look of the 16"s. I'd probably buy KO2S and plastidip the stock wheels.

Not a close up and flat black, but yes that's the idea. I'd be thinking more of a semi-gloss, but its winter here and Maine. Will have to wait for spring..



Also some TRD-Sport rims in black..

 

I was thinking about making a template of the V shape on the wheels. Then take the template to a local vinyl shop and get a bunch made for the wheels. While this would leave a tiny sliver on the outside edge of the wheels this could easily be done in the vinyl also. Honestly though the stock wheels have really grown on me more and more over time.

Are those stock mud flaps or aftermarket?

 

They're stock...and they suck. Nearly tore one off when I first took it off road. They're too stiff.

 

I actually like the stock rims, but this is sharp. So is the grill.

 

Looks sweet man, curious how you prepped / painted these?

 

The grill I took off, but the wheels I just left on and covered the front brakes with plastic when I dipped them.
