    40ish miles of awesomeness..

Our first camp.. in this creepy area..

headed along Cherry Creek Road on the backside of Aztec Peak.. from this side.. we can see the canyons we hiked to from the top of Aztec on a previous trip.

    camp 2

    back on the road

you can see the snowcapped peaks of Sunrise waaaay out in the distance from this view point. amazing..

    camp 3

all 3 nights we camped next to running water.. this spot I think was the best.. slept great!!

    back home!

Im jealous of your setup man...

It got below freezing at night. Woke up to frost on everything, frozen water, etc. Ice on the trails and frozen water crossings scattered throughout. So worth it. I like cold weather camping though.

Haha thanks man! Only getting better ;)

Thats awesome, the only thing I don't like about cold weather camping is having to make breakfast/dinner in 20 something degree weather, but maybe you know something I don't to stay warm during that?

 I hope to add some goodies this year as well.. Trying to live that expo life.. lol

Hahaha.. Nah man. We struggle with that as well. A big fire, lots of layers, and booze does the trick most of the time.

I did use a small propane heater in the CVT each night. Pre heated the tent and then turned it in early in the morning. Worked great!

Haha you definitely have a nice truck, things you have that I want!

Making breakfast and putting the tent away in freezing weather are the only things I hate about camping.. But booze definitely helps!

It was great man. Easy up, easy down. And since the bed bars are so low, I don't have to worry about gear flying out, getting wet or muddy during the fun times between camp. ;) its a nice mix of toy, expo, DD. Reeeeally happy with the truck right now. It's been taking everything we have been throwing at it. Been getting out exploring every weekend. Lots of miles and lots of pinstripes have been gathering lately. :D

I'll get the route map posted.

Hmmmm I dont think we came across that. I will double check the map. It was decent. Some spots were tight or rocky.. But not bad at all.

Did you go start at the beginning of cherry creek and and drive the whole road?
