My 06 4cyl Manual single cab has been set up to have the frame replaced. I asked them how much to have the seal replaced at the time and they said $1,019.00. This seems really high when most of the labor is already involved in the frame replacement. Do you think I would have any luck trying a differents dealership?

You should ask what it costs to have it done as part of a normal service. If they're charging book time, it won't matter if the frame is being switched over or not - it'll be the same price as if it wasn't.

nope. this seal replacement is not simple and not easier since you are getting frame done. it is just about as hard (by hard I mean steps involved), frame replacement or not

OK so the engine, transmission and drivetrain are all kept intact when the frame is removed? I got an estimate from a shop I have used before for around $600. So I guess I will have them do the frame first and then the seal. Or should I not wait for 2 months and have the seal replaced first?
