Short and sweet version: When shopping for a new 2010-2013 Tacoma 4x4 with TRD Off-Road package, how can I easily spot if has also been lifted? (And yes I know some lifts are extremely obvious because the thing is sitting 8 feet off the ground but others that only add a couple inches seem less obvious to me. Especially if the Tacoma has larger tires on it - I have a hard time telling if its the tires or a lift adding all that clearance.)

Longer version if you care: My 07 Tacoma 4x4 was recently stolen. Luckily insurance came through like a champ. Now I'm going to upgrade. My old Taco was the SR5 version and it did have a lift, but only maybe 1.5 to 2 inches. Now that I am shopping for the TRD Off-Road version, I am having a hard time telling if one has been lifted or not. Seems to me the TRD Off-Roads have about as much clearance as my base model did with the added lift package. It also seems that not all dealers are really capable of identifying lift packages either. So I am wondering if someone can tell me what to look for. I'm not necessarily after a lifted Taco, I just want to be sure I know what I am getting into.

    Tire size.

Obvious parts that don't look factory.

Knowledge of what you should see from a factory, compared to what you actually see.
