I am hoping someone has had a similar problem and found a solution. My new Nexus 6 won't receive email on my 2015 basic engine head unit. My old HTC One did. I can receive text messages and their history shows, but no email even shows for selection. I have looked at every setting and I can't find anything obvious. They all look to be correct.
I kind of figure that if texts work email should too. They both use MAP, don't they? And the Nexus 6 supports MAP.

Just to the right of the SMS there used to be an email selection

For those who may read this thread I just spoke with Toyota. They claim email doesn't appear on the radio. This is a bit puzzling since it worked with my old HTC One. Messaging setup also has checks for displaying email.
Their response was "if it works great, but it isn't supposed to".
Strange Toyota logic. I guess I can be thankful text messages work.

Also a Nexus 6. 2016 "premium" HU. No email.

Strongly considering ditching the unit. Entune does not impress.

What puzzles me is this. Both the HTC One and Nexus 6 support MAP. There is an email setting in the head unit. Email worked with the HTC phone, but not with the Nexus?
If the units don't support email why is it an option in their settings? I have already seen for 15 months that email can work.
