    Greetings everyone!
My apologies in advance for a question that I'm sure has been answered before; tried to search for the answer and couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for.

I have a 15 TRD Sport and am looking to upgrade the tires and wheels. What's the largest tire I can put on it WITHOUT lifting it? Does anyone have some good recommendations of tore/wheel packages?

Also - what's y'alls opinion on keeping the stock tires/wheels? I don't plan to sell the truck anytime soon. Should I hold onto them anyways or should I go ahead and sell them? They're practically new - about 6500 miles on them.

Thanks so much in advance everyone! Happy New Year!

1.75" Billy's plus 1/4 spacer on both sides. 1" block in rear. 265/70/17 nitto g2 SCS matte dark bronze 6s
265/70/17 or 265/76/16 on factory wheels. Most aftermarket wheels with same tire size will require a lift due to offset...

Also check out SCS wheels for Tacomas. They are a fan favorite around here.

Thanks for the quick replies gents, very helpful! I'll definitely look into SCS; I know next to nothing about wheels so I appreciate a solid suggestion!

SCS stealth 6. 265/70/17 nitto g2s. 2" lift... Crappy picture.

Since you brought up the lift, I'll go ahead and ask - did it affect your handling/suspension or anything? This is the first truck I've owned and I've never lifted anything before. Some friends recommended I stray away from lifting it but I'm not against the idea - do you like the way it drives since putting it on?

I thought the front end of mine was sluggish when stock. I added a set of bilsteins 5100 adjustable height shocks and I like the ride much better now. Just an opinion. Any decent lift like the bilsteins (2" or smaller) shouldn't have any negative effect on your vehicle. Do your research through out this site. A lot of great information.

I went with OME 887's with 5100's up front. A rear ICON 1.5 Progressive AAL and rear ICON 2.0 shocks with Camburg UCA's Ball Joint type.

How does your truck ride with the 887s? I have them but havent installed them yet...I have the OME nitrochargers to go with them, I am worried about a rough ride..

Why Bilstein in the front and Icon in the rear? Just curious

Thats very comforting to hear, as I know you are a very well known member here and have read some...well lets say it made me feel like i made a bad investment. Anyway Ill take your word for it for sure! Thank you! now I just got to get them assembled and installed.

    Okay, done thread jacking, sorry....

My .02 on your stock rims/tires, id hold on to em. especially if you dont need the $ to flip em. If you do something and dont like it you have those to fall back onto, and also you would have 5 spares!

Just because I went with the ICON AAL in the rear kept it matched

I was riding level for a bit.. I didnt like the look and built a custom leaf pack, shock extenders, axel shims, cb drop, the works, all to gain about 2 inches. I have a nice rake now. I added 3 leafs to the existing pack(1 with my aal kit and 2 I got from work which were the same size which I then fabbed to correct lengths to sit in the pack)
