My apologies if I have repeated this subject earlier. Have any of you with White Tacoma's had any problem with tire gels/tire shine staining your paint from overspray? Thank You in advance.

I get some rooster tails on my fenders and doors sometimes, but other than that no staining.

    Pics?

There's a detailing subforum that might be able to help you, but likely it'll involve a clay bar.

Soon after I took delivery of my 2012 White DCSB, I used a rather pricey tire shine/gel (Wolfgang?) that I bought online. It obviously "slung" off and left positively horrible stains on my paint, as well as the white paint on my GF's 2012 White Corolla. I haven't used any tire products since. I ended up taking them both to a detail shop who got the stains off with some kind of Lacquer. The guy refused to let me pay him, instead thanking me so that he didn't use tire gel and screw up a customers car. I've searched and searched over and over and have never found a solid answer. I've been told it could have even been some kind of a chemical reaction with the rubber in the tires themselves. In any case, I like using something to dress my tires but with my 16' on the way, I'm obviously reluctant to use any on the new truck.

Most folks here use a product called for rubber treatment. It's not high gloss, but it looks nice.

I'd definitely peek into the Detailing section, tire shine is well covered and there are more than a handful of professional detailers who toss advice out for free.
