So I went to the dealer to have them check out the check engine codes that I've had come up a couple times before.

Today they call me saying that they found water in the EVAP lines so it wouldn't be covered under warranty. They proceeded to say it was because the fuel system was modified (which it isn't) and that because there isn't wheel well liners (I have fiberglass bedsides, so the liners came out with the old bedsides) that it allows water to get into the EVAP system line.

Does this make since? I've had issues with the EVAP canister 2 other times before and it was covered under warranty.

You are probably well out of warranty period anyway. I do not think that is one of the federal mandated items to 8 year/80K.

You have had issues 2 other times. Are you over filling the gas tank? That will put liquid gasoliine into the evap system causing the codes.

You should stop pumping gas after the first click off of the pump. Don't keep bumping it.
