Ok guys have a question for you guys. Just got a new 2in hitch ball with a 1in shank and the nut is 1 1/2in.. It calls for 250ft lbs of torque. So I brought home from work a 1 1/2 in. 3/4 in. drive socket and breaker bar and I put a 3ft. cheater on it and pulled. Nut turned about 3/8 of a turn after it was tightened with just breaker bar. My question is do you guys think I torque it over 250 ft lbs. and if so do I need to be worried that I over torqued it ?
