    What this Mod Does
This mod adds footwell lights to the passenger and drivers side as well as lights to the rear seats for improved viewing in the dark, etc. These lights are controlled by the Dome Light. If the dome light is in the ON position these lights will go on. If the dome light is in the DOOR position these lights will go on with the door. If it is OFF they won't go on at all.

Warning: This mod will take at least 1 day and like 2 to perform if you do it like me. Your speed will vary depending on your level of experience doing electrical type stuff. I am not well versed at all and went fairly slowly so as to not screw things up. I spent 20 hours of actual working time doing this mod but I went a little crazy with trying to make things pretty and look as 'factory' as possible.

    Why I Did This
Ever since getting my first tacoma (an 01' extended cab) I've hated how little light there was inside the interiors. You drop something down by your feet good luck seeing it without your phone or a flashlight if its dark. When I got my 14' almost two years ago the same problem persisted. Following research on here and reading as much as I could I decided to try to put in my own footwell/rear seating lights. Here is my thread on what I did, and hopefully with lots of pictures to help out anyone else who wishes to try to do this.

First things first. Before I went nuts with all the LED's I tried to switch out the Stock Dome/Map lights with some brother LED's. For my Map / Dome lights I went with Philips Xtreme Vision 6000k LED bulbs. I am not a fan of blue lights. I hate cool white the cooler the white the more I dislike it. I'm a warm white to a pure white kinda guy. These lights are just perfectly white which makes me happy. I got them off of Ebay here. I have no affiliation to this guy.

Once I had those in, I did the Map Light Mod because it still wasn't bright enough when I wanted light in the truck. This is the one that I used as listed by @c17
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/map-lights-on-with-dome-light.251261/page-7#post-10110151

The following photos were taken by @c17 and are not mine they will just help explain what it was that I did.

This is a Molex pin that is now in the Map light as part of the Map/Dome light on together mod listed above. This part is important because it drives part of the relay mentioned later in this thread.
    4a_-_Copy.jpg

I left the 'pigtail' on my molex connector and placed a wire splice on it. It doesn't matter what kind you use, bullet/butt/spade just as long as you can connect two wires later down the line. I used a butt connector on the end of mine.
    6c_-_Copy.jpg

After the LED's and the Map Light Mod still didn't give me enough light in the the WHOLE truck I decided to do this Footwell/Rear Seat LED addition.

    Wiring Diagram
Here is a quick diagram of what I did. I tried to use different colors (Red/Blue/Black)I hope that doesn't confuse anyone. Please forgive me lack of complete proper electrical circuit diagram drawing, I'm not an electrician not even close. I have included a Key of the little symbols that I used since I know they are not "standardized". I have also indicated where I ran the wire to such as the Headliner and the A-Pillars, under the door sills, etc.

    SUPPLIES

Now that you've done the Map/Dome Light on with the door mod now it's time for LEDs. So as I mentioned it doesn't matter where you get your LEDs you just need a lot and the colors that you like. I'm a non color kinda guy and I didn't want dimmers or anything like that so I got mine from Amazon here

It's 15 ft I believe of a 6000k White light. It has a 3M sticky tape (WHICH SUCKED btw) on the back which I now wish it didn't. More on that later. It comes with a connector already attached that I cut off. The wire diameter was VERY small....I'm talking like 22/24g wire. These lights are designed to take 12V DC and up to 5amps. They are spaced every three lights with areas where you can cut and then attach whatever metal wire you want. I first tested the LED's before removing the existing cord that came with it. It wouldn't have worked for what I was going to do anyways. I grabbed a 9volt battery which will illuminate these and two pieces of wire. I put one to the wall (negative) on the inside of the connector and one to the middle post (positive). They all illuminated and I checked them against the color of my LEDs in the truck and it was pretty darn close.

I then went and got wire. I used three different types of wire. I used an 18g/2 wire (2 completely insulated dwires in a single cable) from the big rack that turns at Homedepot. It was insulated but it was not what I was entirely wanting. I was REALLY wanting wire that looked like this. Flexible with two wires in a single nice looking wire. I couldn't find this anywhere or what it was called other than some number/2. You can go with any sort of wire you don't have to go with the wire I used I just wanted to run a single cable up into the headliner since it's a pain in the ass.
    IMG_1297 2.jpg

    - I then got some Red wire and some Black braided copper wire in 18g size from Advanced Auto Parts. 40ft of both which was more than needed obviously but it was how it was sold
    - I got 20ft of 3/8" Black Wire Loom but I only needed 10' and I will be returning the unused wire loom
    - You're going to need a bunch of little spade (male/female) connectors
    - Bullet Connectors (male/female)
    - A few Butt connectors
    - One Inline Fuse with a 1 or 2amp fuse
    - One Add a fuse with an extra 5amp fuse (if you use the lights above) If you're using the Power Door Locks tap for the add a fuse it is a 20amp fuse, your Add a fuse need to be able to handle that. Most of the ones sold at AutoZone are only 10amp rated.
    - Crap ton of Heatshrink
    - Soldering Iron
    - Solder ( I used the electronics solder sold at Home Depot) it comes in a cute little tube and the wire has the flux already in the core of the wire)
    - I used some Tip Tinner to make the solder connections prettier
    - SPST (single pole single throw) 12V DC relay. I got mine at Advanced Auto as well.
*** Please note, I am changing out the Relay I originally used from an electromechanical one to a Solid State one because of the crazy noise it makes, I don't like it, it is pretty terrible when the doors are opened or you start your car and the dimming begins. Thanks for the information @fergyz on the solid state relays.
    - Phillips head
    - Flat head
    - Dikes
    - Wire strippers/crimpers
    - Needle Nose Pliars
-Quick Disconnects. I purchased mine from Amazon. I probably would not buy them pre-assembled again given that 3 of the 8 I bought had the wires literally fall out from very easy use. The crimps were not very secure. I would buy the parts myself next time and crimp them myself. Infact the 'negative' review is mine.

3M Double Sided tape (purchased this one from Advanced Auto parts) in 1/2' size, I used 1.5 rolls of the stuff.
    IMG_1411.jpg

All the connectors (bullet/butt/spade) used were all 18-22g sizes (red) with one blue Butt connector (16-14g) for the ground (2 wires on one side from the splice with the Wire in the Headliner and the wire from the LED on the drivers footwell side, and one wire on the other side that I had to "double over" so it would stay put that went to the ground in the engine compartment. And I needed one Yellow (10-12g) Male Spade connector (I could have used a female but I had a male ) for my in line connect a fuse. I didn't want to solder the connect a fuse to the wires by the time I got to this point I was exhausted if I was a true electrical warrior I would have sucked it up and soldered it like a man.

    Where To Put The LED's
So now that I had all these supplies where was I going to put these damn things. :) This took me a good 1-2 hours to figure out where I could put them. I took about a 6 inch strip and placed it all over trying to find out the right spots what it would look like with light shinning on it, etc. I had my 9 volt battery and frankly got a little anal about the whole thing. I have circled or drew lines where I put the LED's on the photos below.

    How To Do It
So now that I got the supplies and figured out where I was going to put the lights I decided it was time to tear apart the truck.

You need to do the following. But FIRST......DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY!!!! Yeah....I didn't and was using the lights inside the truck to light my way and I ran down the battery to where I couldn't start my car in the AM....I'm a dumb ass. Don't be like me...don't be dumb....disconnect one of the battery terminals, I did the ground.

    Now the directions.

    1) Remove both back Seats. This is VERY EASY. I removed the single large bolt (yellow circle) there were x2 for each seat in the rear. It was either a 14mm or a 13mm that was required. The Seats are not heavy and they come out easily.

    2) Remove the little plastic push pins (orange circle) from the cubby space then remove the plastic liner. These come out with a flat blade screwdriver. They have these little plastic extensions that are 'grabby' You won't brake them pulling them 'straight out'. Remove everything in there but you may leave the Jack, it won't interfere with anything.
    IMG_1442.jpg

    3) Remove Both A-pillars, these come out by popping out the little tabs on the 'oh shit bar' again with a screw driver then using a 10mm socket or a phillips head screwdriver. Once the screws are out pull them 'upin the same direction they are going and out' and they pop out pretty easily. DON"T SCREW WITH THE AIRBAG ONCE OFF its the orange/white thing rolled up. All wires should be ABOVE the metal tabs that hold the airbag in place. Don't put anything below that.........

    IMG_1382.jpg IMG_1381.jpg

    4) Remove both front kick plates, they have a single little black plastic screw that you can easily take off with your fingers. It doesn't look like a regular bolt its the only one down there. These then pop off towards the seats and out towards the shifters. It's not hard it did take a moderate amount of force. Here's a picture of the passenger side removed exposing the wires. The Drivers side also has a little foot rest...this also just comes straight off...it's held on by two little pop tabs. I used a flat bladed screw driver to get under it then pop it off.
    IMG_1379.jpg

    5) Now remove the passenger/diver door 'kick plate' and the rear passenger/driver side kick plate. These are VERY easy but they do seem to be stubborn and require some force. They come off with a screwdriver up under one side then pulling up to pop them off their connectors. There are a good 10 or so in there for each of them. They did not come off easily but you just have to go slowly and keep increasing the force. It almost feels like you're about to break them then it pops up. Here are pictures of them taken off

Rear Passenger ( you can see the yellow Jack label in the cubby, this doesn't have to be removed when you remove the plastic liner)
    IMG_1380.jpg

Front Passenger with the exposed kick plate off and the trusty 9V battery. You'll wanna keep him around to periodically check your work. make sure the connections are good.

    IMG_1378.jpg

    6) Remove the Dome light cover and pop it down. The outer cover comes off with a flat blade screw driver then inside there are two metal clips just pop off one side with a flat blade and it too will pull down. Be careful the wires are Short.

    7) Remove the Map Light cover. To remove this open the Sunglasses compartment. In the top one there is a phillips head screw. Remove him. The console is held in by two metal clips in the front and this 'claw' like thing in the back. To remove you pull down the front while pushing it forward. You'll need those little clips so don't loose them otherwise it doesn't wanna stay up....ask me how I know this. :) In this image you can see the Yellow circle being the 'extra' wire from the diagram up above that I left on the Molex connector from the map light mod, and the yellow circle is the wire that's coming from the Dome Light.
    IMG_1383.jpg

    8) Now that you have all your compartments open its time to run wire!!!

I started first with the main wire going from the footwell up the A-pillar across the headliner down the other A-pillar and over into the other footwell. Grab a wire coat hanger and make a little round loop on the end and straighten it out. You'll eventually need to curve and bend it but its just easier if its all straight to begin with.

The Grey wire you can see coming out of the Map light area is the double stranded wire that I ran that I got from Home Depot. I have already run it up from the floor well up the drivers side A Pillar and up into half of the headliner. Do the running in stages it makes it easier. I would not have used this wire again though it was a bitch to work with. I would have tried harder to find that single nice wire like I showed in the first page with a black/red wire surrounded by white or just gone with some speaker wire. Not as pretty but easy to work with and can carry current easily.
    IMG_1385.jpg

    9) Next I ran the ground wire from the Dome Light 'extra' wire left after the map/dome light modification down to the relay pin number 85 again using a butt connector and heat shrink so it at least looks pretty. I used some Electrical tape to hold the wires up and keep the strain off them. I circled the connection in yellow where the butt connector is and the heat shrink.
    IMG_1387.jpg

    10) Now that the big first section of wiring is done, it's time to make a 'test lamp' I measured using the LED strips lengths to see how many I needed for each section. I only did the front passenger and Driver first I did the back seats in the house. Too hard to do it in a garage.

Once you get the passenger side cut it becomes your test strip. You'll need to get out the soldering iron and one of your quick disconnects and connect them. I had to look on Youtube for a video there are MANY. It's pretty simple There are three parts to an LED strip.
    1) Top Rubber coating
    2) circuit board
    3) Sticky tape.

You literally just separate these layers with your finger nail. I completely cut off the Rubber part that was covering the little copper terminals, bent the board at a 90 degree angle, held it in a vice and put some solder drops on each of the copper terminals. I then put some solder on each of the copper wires. I then touched the Red wire to the Positive Lead and heated it till the solder melted then let it solidify and repeated. I scraped off the sticky stuff on the back with a razor CAREFULLY so as to not cutmyself if you get the LED's that I got the stuff literally peels off. It wasn't quality 3M glue for sure. Then I put a heat shrink tube over them. Here are pictures of the solder on the wire and then it attached to the LED strip. I had NEVER done this before I soldered like three times prior to this. If I can do it, so can you. I used a little 35W soldering iron that was actually a wood burner that I got like 20 yrs ago.

Some solder on the quick disconnect wires with the Heat Shrink Tubing on already.
    IMG_1374.jpg

The wires soldered to the LED's this was my first attempt at doing this so I know it's not terribly pretty. Forgive. It works and they aren't going anywhere. Heat shrink also visible. You can see the removed clear rubber I mentioned. I just cut them off with side dikes.
    IMG_1375.jpg

The finished 'test' lamp and the LED that would eventually go under the passenger side following heat shrinking.
    IMG_1376.jpg

    11) Now that I had a test lamp I started making the main connections using the Quick Disconnects. I wanted to be able to just change out the quick disconnect if something happened to one of the lights, and I also put all the lights in Parallell instead of series so if something happened to one it wouldn't effect the others.

Once you have made the connection its time to test it with the strip you just made using a 9 volt battery. Go to the Drivers side and connect the positive to the Red and the Neg to the Black wire coming from the big wire you ran up the A-pillars and across the headliner in step 8. Remember LED's are polarity sensitive. I always did Red to positive/black to negative on any connection I made.

Here you can see 2 Quick Disconnects (one connected/one disconnected). One (the disconnected one) will go to the lights under the passenger footwell (for the test lamp) the other will go down behind the kick plate and under the door sill and to the back of the truck. The one that is disconnected was the other half to the 'test lamp. I made sure that I put the ''short" side of the connectors to the LED's. There was no particular reason for this it just seemed like the right way to do it.
    IMG_1394.jpg

    12) Now run your wires along the door sills and underneath the B Pillar (where the seatbelt is) using the wire coat hanger to the back seats. This was the hardest area and also the place where I took my time for some reason I was going in it blind and didn't wanna screw something up. You can take this off I just didn't want to if I didn't have to (and I didn't)
    IMG_1397.jpg

    13) Now start wire looming all the wires. I wire loomed from the kick plate all the way down, when I'd get the loom on I'd run it up and secure it and keep on securing/running and the way down. In the kick wells the little white plastic 'bridges' come off with the help of a screwdriver. Then pop back down. I used Zip ties to secure it to the big wire loom already present.
    IMG_1395.jpg

Completely loomed and secured. You can see the Red/White wires exit and go underneath the B Pillar. This is the passengers side.
    IMG_1396.jpg

    14) Now that you've loomed all the wire in the front and the back along the door edge now it's time to run the wire under the carpet and around the cubby in the back. Again grab your trusted coat hanger put it thru the eye and pull it all the way thru. Then push the wire all the way down to the bottom and around the cubby hole. To figure out where it's supposed to come out, I used the plastic box that holds all the storage and looked at the 'doors'. Those are the dividers for the seats and make a great land mark.IMG_1398.jpg

    15) Take your cubby and mark it with a marker or something that you can see cause you need to cut a little hole. :) You could get away without doing this if you're willing to cut the carpet more. The more I think about it I probably would just cut the carpet if I could get away with doing that but I chose to take a little nick out of the plastic box. I did this so that the box doesn't put any pressure on the wires I don't want them bending/shorting/fraying etc. I had to cut the carpet a little anyways I just didn't want to cut it more but you can see how you could cut it more and not have to cut the little knick out of the box.

    IMG_1400.jpg

    16) Now connect two Quick Disconnects to the wires that are coming out. You can see you don't need much wire showing if your'e using the quick disconnects. Since they have a good amount of length to allow you to open and close the seats. And this way it doesn't interfere with the box's lids. Now Test your connections again using the 12 Volt Battery. to make sure the lights work and the connections have power, etc.

    How To Cont....

    17) Now that you've gotten all your main wires run now it's time to start working on the LED's. Using the same steps for LED soldering mentioned previously you will need to make more sets. Lots more sets of soldered LED's. :) It's not hard I promise, daunting if you've never done it yes, believe me I know, but not hard. I first set about making the Drivers side one. I took three strips of LED a total of 9 LED's per strip. I knew these were going to wrap around that collar looking thing as I showed in another photo in the prior postings but how to wire them. This is how I ended up doing it. I didn't want there to be a lot of pressure on one side or the other so I zig/zagged it/ I'm sure there are other ways this is just what I came up with and so far it works. IMG_1405.jpg

    18) Next comes the seats. These were the hardest parts without a doubt. I laid each of the seats down and took the strips cutting out sections and 'taping' them down so I'd see how they would lay. I didn't want to put too much side 'curve' on the LED's because I was concerned about what kind of strain it would put on the tape I was using.

    Rear Drivers Side Arrangement
    IMG_1406.jpg

    Rear Passenger Side Arrangement. IMG_1407.jpg

    19) Next I took wire and measured by eye the lengths needed to connect each section. Positive to positive, negative to negative. You have to adjust the angle of the connection that you're soldering to keep the geometry. It isn't as hard as it sounds just don't be alarmed when you have wires of different lengths and you have a 'crooked' solder. Its supposed to be crooked so it can go around the seat. After they were soldered together I added an extra long set of wires to the end. The end being on the inside of the seats not the outside They have to be on the inside because the seats move up and down. Here are the light sections being tested on before they were attached permanently. As you can see nice white light. You'll do this for both sets of lights. IMG_1408.jpg

    20) Now that you've gotten them all soldered and heat shrink'd up it's time to get some good adhesive on. The adhesive that comes with these LEDs just sucks. Its thin...its not very good I'm not impressed at all. Infact I was able to pull some of it right off like it wasn't even stuck to the LED. The scraping it off I highly highly recommend that you start at one end and work across trying to get it up as a 'solid piece' if you can get an edge up across the LED the entire sticky side will pull off if you are careful.

You can see the 'sticky' white layer coming right off the 'circuit' board side of the LED. I couldn't believe how easy it would come off if you got a full edge up. Once this edge is up I took Denatured Alcohol from Home Depot and really scrubbed the back of these LED's to remove ALLLLL the residue sticky and any oils etc. I was EXCEPTIONALLY careful to remove all the sticky and oil.
    IMG_1409.jpg

    21) Next it is time to apply some better 3M foam adhesive. Take your LED and lay it light side down then grab your 3M adhesive shown earlier (picture added again since this thread is freaking huge) and you'll line up one edge and run it down the strip. I was very careful to not touch anything but the side of the tape never the sticky bottom part. If any part of the tape that was sticky was touched it was cut off. Once the 3m Tape was put on the back It was pressed. I flipped it over and then using a sharp new razor blade cut off the extra that was showing on the other side to make it flush. I did this to ALL the LEDs....it was a total pain in the ass and I hated every damn minute of it not even going to try to sugar coat it.IMG_1411.jpg

You can see how I cut off the one edge that it overlapped on to make it uniform. I really took my time here and tried to be pretty precise.
    IMG_1410.jpg

    22) Once everything was 3M'd I took Denatured Alcohol again and went around each of the surfaces that were to get the LED lights and let them dry. I then lined up the LED's on the back seats and started to place them from the part that seemed like it would be the most sensitive to proper placement. Each seat was different. On the smaller seat it was the middle section that had to be put on first one edge at a time. On the larger seat it was the inner most towards the connector wires that had to be put on first the smallest strip otherwise the wires wouldn't go around the brackets appropriately. Once everything was attached I used the 9V battery to test out the connections and makes sure all the lights went on before finishing wiring up the relay.

Here are pictures showing the lights on shortly after I attached them they are being run off the 9V battery seen in some of the pictures earlier.

Lights attached under the drivers side on the column as shown earlier.

    Passenger side LED
    IMG_1416.jpg

Here is the strip off on the passenger side. You can see what I mean by I had to run it over and up. This does not interfere with the glove box at least not on my 2014. Other models may vary.

    RearIMG_1418.jpg

    23) After the connections were shown to be good and the LED's worked I attached the back seats and I then set about working on the rest of the Relay and the Add a fuse. For the Relay I wanted to get the Dome light out of the way. Many a thread talked about tapping the pink wire which powers the dome light in the A-Pillar, well I tried doing that but damn it....there were two pink wires and I didn't feel like trying to figure out which one it was. So I took a Tap a Fuse like this and tapped the Pink wire up in the Dome Light itself and ran a wire in the headliner down the Aframe and attached it to the 86 pin on the relay. I put in a 2amp fuse on the line. I don't know that I had to do it, but because I didn't know the answer and the Relay could take 60amps before it blew but the dome was on a I think 7.5amp breaker I didn't want to do anything to screw up my stock wiring in the dome. This now connected completely the Dome Light as the switch.
Heres the inline circuit. This is where I used the yellow spade connector since the gauge of the wire is HUGE on this thing to allow me to connect it down to a smaller wire gauge.
    IMG_1388.jpg

    24) I then took a tap a fuse and using TW to find an always on power source which I apparently already tapped previously, I choose to use the Door Locks fuse in the little cubby to the left of the steering wheel as my power source since I knew that it was always on as we can lock/unlock our doors without the key. I attached the add afuse again with a butt connector which came with the fuse to the 30 pin. I then attached the 'red' wire on the drivers side that I ran across the headliner/a-pillars to the 87 pin. I made a similar connection with the two Quick Disconnects on the Drivers side for the LED that I did on the Passenger side. Please see step number 11.

    25) Attach the Black wire by running wire thru into the enging thru the big grommet (easier to go outside the grommet then thru the middle) and attach it securely to the frame. I used one of the bolts on the side of the walls. I'm sure there are better grounding spots INSIDE the cab I just didn't know where to hook it up at. This completes the wiring. I pulled up everything nice and neat made sure all the wires weren't in the way of anything like a pedal and was happy.

    26) Start putting all the plastic bits back on. The door sill protectors literally snap on. The kick plates do the same thing. Lever them into place then push to snap the front snaps back into place. The A pillars slide down then snap on/bolt into place.

    27) Put the plastic cubby box back in and push the little black holders back into place.

    28) Grab a 6 pack or other beverage of your choice cause you've now spent a shit ton of time and are exhausted.

Continues on next post with more photos of the lights after everything was put back together.

Hope you all enjoy and that this helps out someone looking for how to do this modification. I know this posting is EXCEPTIONALLY long practically a dissertation but hopefully it answered any questions you have or will have if you try to do this for yourself. I recommend reading over this a few times draw it out a few time yourself to get a better idea of what you're going to do before you do it and then really take your time. I mentioned it took me 20 hours of actual work over 2 days. Good luck!!! happy to answer any question and or grab more photos if you need them of what I did as long as it doesn't require me to disassemble my truck. :)

Thanks John! Excellent write up! This is pretty much what I am doing but I will also be adding lights to the underside of the doors to act as courtesy lights for people getting out of the truck. My plan is to add a small section of lights (maybe 2 section/6 diodes) to the trailing edge of the bottom of each door. That way light can be spread as far out as possible to see what you are stepping onto when you exit the truck. I already checked and there is enough room for the leds without them rubbing on anything.

Now thats a neat idea......you mean literally under each door or on the frame?? That would be a sweet thing I may have to borrow that from you once you do your write up/install. Now that I've started this I just can't stop!!! HAHA.....must be able to see the Tacoma from Space!!!!

That's correct. The lights will be attached to the doors themselves (the sheet metal that faces down when the door is open) I'll be ding a write up as well, but most of the info will be rehashed from other threads (including this one) that I've been researching since the idea came up. Really the only thing I'm doing different is the placement of the lights. Have you sourced the solid state relay yet? And with the new relay, do your lights still dim?

Yes I got the solid state relay from Del City. I purchased this one.

    http://m.delcity.net/store/Hella-Solid-State-Relay/p_809798

It has not yet shipped though i bought it two days ago I got a receipt from
Them this morning so it looks like they are just slow. No the leds won't dim they didn't dim now. It just makes it so that the relay activates at a much lower voltage and is silent. As the power is increasing with the door lights coming on it makes a TERRRIBLE noise in the relay which isn't abnormal for it to make if you're slowly increasing/decreasing power. The little magnet in there just goes fucking nuts!!! I might would even add LEDS under the truck like @tacodane sells. I have extra left over from the adventures up above.

I just thought of something. My LEDs don't dim because their power comes from a constant on source that uses the dome light as the switch on the relay. I didn't use the dome light power source as the main power source for the LEDs which would make them dim since it was recommended not to do that by several knowledgeable folks. The wires are so crazy thin even with low voltage LEDs it was mentioned you could easily burn up the stock wires etc.

the lights should only fade on or off when the BCM is in control of the ground wire i.e opening the door. flipping the dome switch to "on" provides a direct connection to ground. instant on or off.

This is a very impressive write up on how to do this mod. Outstanding job in showing step by step so that someone who is completely ignorant about jobs like this can follow along and have a successful product at the end!!

Thank you sir. I tried really hard. This site has helped me so much and there's nothing more frustrating than trying to do something from instructions that assume you know certain aspects so I tried to incorporate all information even though it's a huge amount into a single thread. If this helps even one person do it successfully I'll be a happy camper.
