That skid plate looks awesome. Pardon my noobish question, but how does this compare with the TRD OR metal skid plate in terms of overall area of protection and strength?

Yeah, but $500US for a skid...yikes. If you're bottoming out your frame that hard, then its a toss up. I bought the toyota skid for my 2012 4 years ago, literally the only area that didn't rust lol. I'm on gravel roads a lot, and the skid did wonders...and looks good. yes, of course it will fold if I hammer it with a rock though.
    That grill though...I'm very tempted!

I was thinking that or just order a OEM SR trim.

Love the grille, but no way am I at $400 on it... Time and competition will bring prices down. When I see $300-$325, I'll give you guys a holler.

    Beautiful work though!

Im interested, and I'm from Canada where it will cost me over $500CAD lol…I just don't want the hassle of figuring out how to get the trim black.

I dipped my grille and it's worked great. I have a good bit of experience with plasti and I'm pretty happy with the results. For the trim, you can easily dip or paint it... Wouldn't be a hassle at all of you ask me.

The dipped grille looks better than OEM. But I will eventually swap it once I find one I like that's priced well.

make sure it is the SR5 trim, I heard that the SR is a glossy finish while the SR5 trim is a matte finish.
