Change at the recomended interval, and send some of the oil to have a sample performed on it. You can base the change intervals on the results of the testing.

I drain my crankcase annually. AMSOIL Signature Series is good for up to 36,000 miles but during the thirty years I've used AMSOIL products, I've never gone past 24,000 in a single year/drain.

I do alot of HWY driving and I use synthetics in all my vehicles. I try to go every 4500-5000. Some blends are supposed to have additional additives which are further resistant to breakdown, which, supposedly you can go further than that....

The factory oil change interval with conventional oil is 5000 miles. I'd think you could safely double that with synthetic. Any of you experts know for sure? I guess the suggestion about getting a sample tested would be the safest way to know for sure.
