If he is going up there have him stop by the shop. I'm pulling a 3.4 out right now that has blown. He could grab the air box.

Silver ghost, did you cut off the brackets on the brake lines in order to weld the coil bucket gussets on better? My guess too is you need to line up that long ass bolt before you weld them in. Anything else?

I didn't cut the brake line brackets. And yes line up the bolt. Does your kit come with washers on the upper control arm? You'll need to set it up like the way the upper control arm is going to sit in there. Like in the pic below. Remember that when you burn them in it's going to pull the gussets in and the upper control arm is going to be a tight fit.

Ok I just saw your pic of parts at the LT thread. You do have washers and sleeves. So set up the washers and sleeves in-between the gussets and then run the bolt thought to hold it all together. So basically your setting up you upper control arm the way it goes in there with out the control arm and bushing.

I can't weld mine from the back though like you did with your bay accessible. I don't think I can run a good bead with that that break line bracket in the way. Should I just hit it up where I can?

I stiched welded mine. In different spots. I left spots open because the way the gussets sits there on the frame and creates a crease. Water sits in there on the weld then creating rust. I know the desert guys weld the whole gusset on the wheel well side. I would weld what you could get to. I know that brake line bracket is in the way but just do the best you can. Also check with the LT guys and see what they say. They have more experience then me.

The front drive train is put in for good now. I also put the motor and transmission together for the last time. I added the starter and cleaned connections for the starter. I couldn't bolt the motor in yet because I forgot to get the small plate that bolts to the transmission bell housing keeping junk away from the flywheel. Im going to have to swing by Yoda Jims tomorrow and pick one up.
