Did anyone know there's an Entune app for android? My sales rep or dealer in general failed to mention this to me go figure. Guess it only works with the nav version only

I'm curious if you can add Navi to the regular unit. Software update maybe?

no you would have to change the whole unit for navi. so i would go after market unit than if i was you.

I wouldn't mind aftermarket, but I'd be worried the backup camera, Bluetooth, steering wheel controls or something would no longer work right.

Or if it did work with everything perfectly, it would likely cost too much to be worth just adding navi.

OP, looks like your topic got away from you a little bit. Yes, the entune app is for the units with the app suite (TRD and limited) Toyota has on their website a brief explanation of the compatible phones and units. Most salesman probably don´t use it, therefore, don´t talk about it. I am an android user and I like how they have geared this truck more to android.

As far as the other discussions, Crutchfield has everything you need to replace the unit with a nav unit. You can go with Boss for around 300 dollars all the way up to Kenwood for about 1400 dollars, and they have the connections for keeping steering wheel controls. Obviously though, if you replaced it with one these, then the Entune app will not do you any good.
