He answered your question as simply as possible based on years of ownership and you come back with that dick head comment? And you still expect someone to help you out?
Good luck in life pal... with your attitude, random luck is all you can hope for.

It will work out. People here have no tolerance for shitty attitudes, especially when it's from some new guy who wants to try to crap on members that have a long standing reputation of being strong contributors to this community.

    calm down hero

your testing might show some drop but in day to day usage for an N/A motor, there's no noticeable performance loss. as Craig and many others who have ran it for years can attest, performance is not hindered.

if you plan to run a supercharger, the new design will help satisfy the increased air requirements. Airflow did that with their larger system. this was a goal of ARB to allow S/C tacomas to run the snorkel without worry of lack of sufficient airflow.

curious, what is a noteworthy drop?

and you did this test before the snorkel and after in similar conditions?

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Don't laugh, that salad bowl looking POS collected a lot of sand before the air hit the filter.

x2 i had a donaldson before it went missing after a long trip, then i got an engineaire...i don't hit the deserts without it..it's actually always in my truck in case the conditions require it..

spent a week in moab for cruise moab, then shortly after a week for rock therapy...first without the pre-cleaner then second with..it was amazing how much of a difference it makes..cleaning off the air filter mid-trip then after the trip without it, versus only once at the end..even then it was surprisingly clean

tip i have on the donaldson style if you get it...take some tint spray and tint the glass darker..blends in a bit better IMO

which you can easily add onto your order at Cruiser Outfitters if you're purchasing your snorkel through them... just saying :D

The pre-cleaner also works great in snow. Especially the wet/heavy crap.

another true story...which was another lesson i learned heading to that same cruise moab...coming over monarch pass, i had enough of the heavy wet snow accumulate in the snorkel hat that it clogged the draining function...so snow went down into the snorkel plumbing and eventually soaked through my air filter and soaked my MAF sensor..

had to take apart my intake at a gas station to dry everything out before continuing on...

don't have to worry about that happening with a pre-cleaner...

and if you're running a S/C, just plan ahead with the larger cleaner to allow more air flow CFM...if running N/A the 7" bowl will work fine

What's the inlet on the snorkel? I'm thinking of getting a pre cleaner.
