2011 Tacoma and I was changing the bulbs as one of them burnt out. Removed battery to get at it better. Was following the instructions as shown in the manual. Just when I get to the point where I have to remove the rubber ring thing on my truck it is also part of the bulb. The bulb seems attached to it and they are one piece. What am I doing wrong.I thought I could just replace the bulb but it does not allow me to remove the bulb from the rubber piece.

2n Gen??? Anyway you have to unplug the wires from the back of the bulb. Pop off the rugger seal, then pop the bulb out. Put back in in reverse order

Please check with your local dealership for a headlamp recall. My running lights burnt out and only because I went in for something else did the service manager bring up the recall for my 2010. He made money from Toyota Corp, and I got free, new headlamps in full. So worth checking your truck with a dealer. ¢2

Yeah but when I pull out the seal the bulb comes with it and they are together. They do not separate almost as if it is fused together.
