2016 "can I trim this?"

    Just lifted w/5100's, 887's, and Icon UCA's. Drivers side rubs when turning. Only does it if there is a bump in the road on the turn or I'm taking the corner to hot. I want to know if I can trim this peice of metal without causing any problems. You can see in the picture that the metal peice is polished smooth from my tire. Thought?

    Google cmc tacoma(cab mount chop) think that's what your looking for. Don't know how it works on the 16's
