Make sure you are choosing a boot for your line of work, not because one of these post had a better sales pitch. In my line of work "Water Utilities" (water main breaks, replacing service lines, setting hydrants etc....) I have a high demand for TRUE water proof and the rubber boots on the truck always seem so far away from the hole :ballchain:. Also protective toe is a must for obvious reasons with roads being lifted and heavy equipment. I have found that my "Georgia Eagle One" ($225ish) have held up the best for Florida Environment and line of work. Not to say I've tried half the boots in this thread so far. Just giving another choice that I personally know works.

    I wear these...

They are actually very comfortable, warm, and last a decent amount of time. I am a surveyor so I am usually walking around in the mud and muck of a construction site most all of the year. I even wear them hunting and they worked great. First pair lasted about a year and working on my second pair now.

Same here .... Same pair, 4 years now .... 5 days a week, except the dead of summer, when I wear runners. I just change out the liner twice a year. Awesome value
