Is that the OEM black chrome bezel or are they painted? Either way, looks very nice.

That's awesome. Maybe it's just the lighting because they appear darker than mine. My projectors are going bad so I need to start planning for a new pair of subtle looking retrofits and yours seems like they fit the bill.

This has happened after a year and a half. They want to charge $600 to fix. Crazy. Hope everyone else has better luck. Not here to bash the vendor. Just not happy with the outcome.

It's not moisture. I've been discussing the problem with the owner for the last few days. The problem comes from the paint that was used a few years ago. This is probably the few last batch prior to us switching to a new paint and adding additional baking cycles.

Some background so you guys understand the context. This only recently appeared within the last month. It was not an issue prior.
The owner contacted me regarding the issue. Knowing how picky he is (once had me swap a lens out for a brand new one because the company applying clear vinyl covers scratched his lens) - I explained how soft the plastic is on the inside of the lens is. We could open and clean the headlights but there would be micro scratches. My recommendation therefore was to buy brand new lights and swap the lenses out.

Where does that $600 number come from? The cost to buy brand new headlights for fresh lenses and labor. Our warranty has always been 6 months for craftsmanship and labor. HID components same as TRS.
This is out of warranty. Now I've offered to cover the labor cost if the owner wants to do the swap but we aren't going to buy brand new headlights to swap lenses after 18 months.

Not trying to bash you guys or anything but is it his fault that the paint you guys used from before caused this problem to occur? He didn't choose the paint you use or your baking cycle. It didn't happen because he abused the lights. Like you stated its because of the paint

Has anybody else emailed Rad or Burt? Sent them a few emails to see when they would ship my headlights and never got an answer back? They were supposed to be shipped out before Christmas...

The only reason I made the statement above is I just went thru a similar problem with a company work truck. I had a guy powder coat the bed, pipe rack and toolbox after a few months it started to peel up and flake on the tops and front of toolbox. I take it back and the guy tells me that its wasn't correctly prepared and he could fix it but would have to charge me. How is it the customers fault that because of the material they used or not doing the right preparation that they now need to pay. Just my 2cents on this
