tire shop said they could hear it but said it wasn't their problem, i have an appointment with the dealer on Saturday where I expect to get bent over. my research tells me they will say it is because of the leveling up front

i'm at the point of taking the 33" toyos off and selling them on craigs list, removing the coil spacers up front and getting a smaller tire for my 18" rims and running it at stock to see if that corrects the problem.

I literally have run the truck with the "lift" for less than 20 miles.

My personal mechanic says he can take the spacers out no problem, i can drop down to a 265/60 r18 tires on the rims i already have and should have little to no rubbing for what i do, which is drive around town

if that doesn't solve the problem i will order one of these parts they talk about on the 2 gen forum. Some new part to replace the needle bearing from Chase.

Let me have a stab at this... I do lift installs and some other repairs out of my shop....I've done quite a few full on suspension lifts and quite a few spacer lifts......First off, the vibration ISN'T because of "different angles on the driveshaft". If the rear end wasn't lifted, the drive shaft angles are the same as they were BEFORE the front was lifted. I'd begin with putting 1" blocks OR an add-a-leaf in the rear to equalize height some. NEXT, I'd have the front end alignment checked (by someone OTHER than where you had the initial work done) Then I'd take a look at tire balancing.....and do a little research on the rims. Some rims just don't work well on Tacomas. I can't tell you if those are OK or not. Maybe someone else will help there. Also, look at where the sidewalls are closest to the upper control arms to make certain you don't have a rub there. May need wheel spacers OR different rims, OR aftermarket UCA's if the tire is rubbing the stock UCA.

After having a pair of aftermarket coilovers fail on my truck, I'm running a spacer lift for the interim. If you had your eyes closed, you'd have a hard time telling if my truck was moving or not when I'm going down the highway at 75mph. Smooth as a babies butt! And that's WITH Duratracs, that as was mentioned, are NOT the smoothest riding tires ever made. IIRC, that front spacer gives you a gain of 2-1/4". Looks about right....A 1" lift in the rear will give you a more proportioned lift (front to rear) Anyone who tells you a spacer lift cannot ride good is either very uniformed OR just plain full of it. They can work just fine if the install is done correctly. Granted, high end stuff is a bit better, but spacers, if done in moderation, can work just fine for the majority of end users.

If I had to guess, I'm going with a bad tire balance job, and front alignment being a mile off. Between raising the front end only, and just the mere fact it was raised, the front end geometry is probably off a TON.

Just ignore the bashing. There's a fine line where "helping" rolls into being a know-it-all/smart ass. I'm sure at this point, all you want to do is fix your issues and NOT to pump thousands upon thousands of additional dollars into this. Let's fix what you have, then when you feel like smashing the piggy bank, you can go with the high dollar stuff.

why not go back into Schwab and have them give you the Next size down Toyo MT's or have them swap them for something else? I do believe they offer a 500 mile satisfaction Guarantee on their tires.. Obviously you are not satisfied with the ride those are providing. And while they have your truck on the rack, have them do an add a leaf or spacer in the rear to fix the bro lean.

I took the leveling kit out. Took off the mud tires and went with a 265/60 Nitto Terra Grappler and I am at stock suspension. I like it a lot.
