    Looking to replace oem interior bulbs of 2013 tacoma with l e d's , do i need canbus or reg l e d's? and what is canbus?

    I do not know if you need " CAN Bus" LED's or not...

    Control Area Network.
    CAN Bus is the communication protocol used for the Control Systems in Most Modern Toyota vehicles. An many other Makes.

    In other words it is the communications standard that is used between the ECU's and other devices and how they talk to one another.

    I really do not see where the CAN Bus would have anything to do with a light bulb / LED.

    Some vehicles monitor certain lamps and when they fail, the computer sends an alert to the driver. LEDs don't pull much current, so sometimes the computer thinks the bulb is bad. CAN-BUS bulbs are supposed to prevent this from occurring.

    There is, or was, someone selling led replacement packages on here. Probably search through the Group Buy or For Sale section.

    nope, our trucks do not have can bus at the bulb level... throw what ever you want in there.

    I think there were some people having issues with interior LEDs flashing upon install.
