Its about that time to get rid of the 285/70/17 duratracs and get something new. Got about 55k miles on these. Coulda been more but I was a nice friend and loaned out my truck for a while (10k miles) and my right front is shot! they are all a little worn, but I coulda got another 10-15 out of them. The right front is nearly bald. But enough about that!

I prolly just gonna go back to the 285/70/17 but I'm debating going to a 35" tire. I read all about the required hacking and whacking to get them to fit. I'm good with that and have already cut and trimmed and removed to fit the 285/70s ....... and have the cab mount chop already done. I have ome 885 springs and bilstein shocks at zero.

    So ...
    I have KMC Revolver rims.
    http://www.kmcwheels.com/wheelSpecs/2068/12/11468/xd796-revolver-

    showing them 17"x9"

On tirerack for the BFGoodrich KM2 35x12.5.17 tires its showing rim width range 8.5"-11" and a measured rim width of 10"

Are the revolver rims i have acceptable for this tire size? I don't know what 'measured rim width" means on that site.

would the 35s require anything else like new control arms? that would put the kabash on this plan cause I don't have another grand for the front end at the moment.

I've ran 285/70R17 and 33x12.50R17 on my 17x9 wheels. Both were fine. You shouldn't have any problems with either of those sizes.

I don't think you're going to fit 35s without more lift. From what I've seen, even 6" lifts require trimming/CMC to fit 35s.
