I think you might be right, I'm trying to get opinions on whether that would be enough to hold up or not

I thought my 2006 was good, just a little surface rust. The dealer I took it to managed to put a hole in the frame and it's up for replacement. Take it and get it checked out by the dealer before march, take it to multiple and see if one says something different.

Meaning if you have a 2005 to 2008 Tacoma and live in area that uses salt in the winter, you are eligible for at least the undercoating. My truck had it's frame replaced. Minnesota is not listed on the service bulletin. So the list is not so much location dependent. My understanding is that the dealership sends photos to Toyota for final approval.

I've got 80k on my originals and they are still good. I've got a stick so don't use the brake as much as an auto.

Just got the call from yoda, time to bring in the taco for frame swap, service rep said he has another taco for me to drive while they do it. Works for me, hopefully there will be no issues with the job.

I requested a truck or similar. The guy started with they don't have any truck, they got camry/corolla, oh we have highlander and rav4 will that work? lol

Yoda set me up with this nice loaner while I get my frame replaced on my '06. '16 4x4 only 900 miles on the ticker, I get a week of playtime with it. Service rep said after they tear it down if I need any other parts it would be cost of parts only, no labor. Having new Billies 5100's installed and a serpentine belt, anything else he'll call me for.

I have to say I really like the black fuel door. I might have to do that my self. Mine needs to be replaced.

Everything except the snap click (#14 on the diagram). Mine unscrewed right off the old cover so I used that.

    Day one .

Go today for the inspection in a little bit. This is a picture from the pass side inner frame wall just behind where the transmission crossover attaches to the main frame

Mine was hanging on single hinge for over 2 years. You got a bunch of yahoos on this site that will tell you it's your fault for not lubricating the hinges. o_O IMO it's a manufacturing defect. I mean who the hell lubricates their gas door hinges? :smack:

I better get the wife's rav4 lubed pretty quick. I noticed hers creaks when you open it. My Tacoma already has one hinge broken.

Hi guys, did anyone notice if you got new bed bolts on frame replacement. I had previously tried to remove mine and I kept stripping the torx heads so in order to remove them I cut the heads to accept a socket and was able to then remove them. Just curious if new bolts were included.Tia actually just called frames in and scheduled for 1/18 wish me luck
