Can I get an OEM key made?

I have a 2001 taco prerunner. It doesn't have an alarm or power anything. The OEM key broke a few years ago and I have been using a copy. Can I get a set of keys from the dealer and have them cut there? I'd like to stop copying the copy if possible.

 

They can use your VIN to order you a new key.

Just bring your registration and drivers license to the parts dept. they have blanks and a key cutting machine.

 

This, five minute wait while they cut the key. I've done this myself.

 

I just called the dealership and they said the would just use an OEM blank to make a copy of my key. Not quite what I want but I guess it will do.
