I have a 2009 Tacoma TRD Sport, I recently in the last month or so, put on an OEM roof rack, I have recently noticed in the last two weeks on two separate occasions having a wet seat belt and wet carpet (driver side only), anyone ever experience this or have any tips/tricks for getting this fixed?

I have been double checking to make sure the doors all fully shut after opening, and I do not believe it was an issue with possibly shutting the seat belt in the door. A few weeks back we did experience a large amount of rain like 4-5 inches over a few days, and a few mornings it has been frosted outside.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Someone recently had the same issue. The dealer installed the rack but it didn't seal properly and it leaked and the water ran down the A pillar and down behind the seatbelt like yours. I had the same issue in my wife's SUV. The water ruined the carpet backing and started to grow mold. Get it fix now before it becomes a huge problem.

Do you know exactly what they had to do to correct the issue? Is it just a matter of checking the bolts and possibly putting some kind of sealant around all the bolts.

If I remember right, his leak got in his computer and the dealer invoked the lemon law. I read it just this past month. The title was something like "Went to the dealer and look what happened."

installed my OEM roof rack about 2yrs ago and never had any leak issue. but that is also partly because I added an automotive silicone to every bolts/holes.

I didn't trust the mastic washers that came in the box. they broke and fell apart before I can even align them properly

I think this is what I used http://www.autozone.com/sealants-gl...ne-adhesive-sealant/526731_0_0/?checkfit=true

OK thanks, so just need to go around all the bolts/holes with some sealant. Hopefully that does the trick.
