I went to the local body shop that does most of the work for my nearest dealer in Somerset, Ky. today to find out the cost to remove and then replace my fender flares so I can get them line-x coated. The shop quoted me $398.58, including replacing all of the clips holding them on, 38 at $3.22 apiece on the bed, $15.46 each for the pad/welting between the flares and the body on the bed, another $13.91 each for the front pad/welting and 5 clips on each side of the front bumper at $1.81 each and 2 bumper seals at $8.22 each! THEN, the labor is figured in.
Is this about right, or totally nuts, or what?
I'm almost afraid to ask what the body shop at the Knoxville Toyota dealer will charge to do it...
The Liine-X shop says it will be about $300 to prep and spray the flares. hadn't really planned on spending close to $700 total to get this done! Seems like I could get some Bushwhackers installed for close to the same total.
    Any thoughts?
